Pt. 1 - Doubts in the Dark

Once it seems I've gone so far I can’t see the starting line
It’s getting harder and harder to remember why
The memory of that spark that kept me going all this time
Seems so distant like it was never mine

The road that leads to my promised land has not been paved before
But emerging darkness cannot be ignored
Suddenly I’m insecure I don’t know which way to go
Alone in the dark I’m searching for a glow

Seems so long since I’ve seen that glimpse of future that might be
Now I’m blinded and left with just debris
The memory of that spark that held those pieces together
Seems so foreign like it’s lost forever

Searching for light in this endless race
To help me find a way through this endless and complex maze

So much time and so much effort, I’ve come such a long way
Many climbed walls kept me going every day
Every battle that I’ve won got me further on my road
Closer to my goal or so I thought

Rambling in the dark I’ve realized all of this has just
Put me right there at the very start
Working so hard to have that road still in front of me
Yet success cannot be guaranteed

Searching for light in this endless race
Since I’ve just got to beginning of this maze
