Pt. 1 – Nostalgia

Another one of those trips down memory lane
Reminding me of the times when things were so great
The way it makes me feel is so hard to explain
Tones of these precious moments still resonate
Sometimes these moments bring me tears of joy
Sometimes they bring regret that they are gone
Sometimes I just wish that I could fill that void
In me when good old days are bygone

Wondering if there are golden times ahead
That will make me feel as those before
Or will my memories have to suffice instead
As they won’t occur anymore

Another one of those trips down memory lane
Warming my heart with echoes of past events
Many times I wonder If we get to experience
Life-defining days but a few times 'til they’re spent
I feel grateful for it all but I’m also scared
